If we are all in spirit form before we come to earth, then why the heck do we come here to only be burdened with all the pain. I mean why as a spirit would we want to come to only endure such pain while here. What is the purpose of the journey for the spiritual world. It sounds like a recycling process and I just don't understand why.

Think on this for awhile Kelly...you are beginning to understand more and more each day. Why are YOU here? Do we not all LEARN for God? Who is God? Why do we keep RECYCLING? YOU have ALL the answers. You just need to think and as time goes by, you will begin to remember.
Ahhh...you begin to search for self...and why did you choose to post as "curious?"

We are here to complete the university of Earth course. To unite the opposites. 'The Beach Meditation' can speed this up.
Let’s take the story of Noah. Animals go in to the Ark( causal- body), 2x2…..this means the soul is ready after MANY MANY lifetimes to accept the unification of male and female into an androgynous state. It rains for 40 days and 40 nights. The symbol of rain is ‘truth.’ 40+40 = 80 = 8 Spirit and matter uniting. A brilliant story, but useless in the University of Earth journey. Yes, yes it is all true, and so much more...this is school house earth 101. We are all here to learn and grow to to reunite with our Christed self (god self). Basically we are collecting and having experiences for god...because we are part of god.
We are all climbing a spiritual ladder where when you help to lift another, you are truly helping to lift yourself.
We are also here to awaken our abilities. Everyone here is so boared being here time and time again...it is now time to awaken and remember who you are and what you are supposed to do and what abilities you have.
The bible can be interpreted on so many different levels. Unfortunately, the church has conceiled much of the truth. Henceforth, the bible doesn't make much sence and seems to contridict itself in many places. For example, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." and my favorite, "Turn the other cheeck." They both mean the SAME thing. They are stating a basic law of karma. The first one, an eye for an eye: is the same as, "as you sow so shall you reap." Turn the other cheek is in your own words, breaking the cycle of karma or preventing us from "recycling." Also, as RjjA refered to above with the Noah's flood, which is very high level...we became androgynous beings, seperating into male and female to experience the polarities of the 3rd dimention which is all duality of light / dark, up / down etc. And that's just one level...and the short answer.
When the initiate is ready to realize...they will begin to understand on a new level.
Remember J.C. says, "Don't ye realize that ye are gods. These and greater things shall ye do."
Also, this is really hell, or a dream of hell, and when you cross over to the other side, that is what truely being awake is. But, some people don't need to cross over to be awake and alive.
The real adventure is to know thy self and discover "within" rather than looking "without" for adventure.
Now, doesn't that sound exciting? To be here, now, to realize our potential, to come into our abilities, to remember and to become christ-like (Christed)?
Lessons from earth school 101 can include:
(Love is HUGE to learn here)
Can you love unconditionally?
Can you forgive unconditionally?
Have you awakened all your abilities yet?
etc, etc, etc.
Well...we are all working on these.
